The First Little Seed 🌱
Sam Tancock founded Harmony Permaculture, bringing together a love of nature, sustainability and outdoor learning.
Harmony Permaculture began with a simple idea: help people reconnect with the natural world, learn through experience and discover just how much they're capable of.
What started as an idea has grown into a place for curiosity, creativity and wonderfully muddy adventures.
Harmony Permaculture was founded in 2020 by Sam Tancock, with a passion for bringing people, nature and learning together.
The idea was never simply to teach people about gardening. It was to create opportunities to learn by doing, to ask questions, to explore and to feel listened to.
Permaculture offers a different way of thinking about the world. It's about noticing the connections between people, plants, animals and the places we share.
The founder of Harmony Permaculture, with a love of hands-on learning, the natural world and helping people flourish.
Sam Tancock ♡
Sam founded Harmony in 2020 to bring together permaculture, outdoor learning and a more thoughtful approach to education.
At the heart of that approach is a belief that every learner deserves to be heard, respected and encouraged to explore their interests at their own pace.
From practical garden projects to learning about animals, sustainability and the food we eat, Harmony is about gaining knowledge through real experiences.
Like any good garden, Harmony has grown through care, patience and a willingness to try something different.
Sam Tancock founded Harmony Permaculture, bringing together a love of nature, sustainability and outdoor learning.
Harmony developed a range of activities, with opportunities to explore permaculture, animal care, practical skills and creative learning.
Harmony continues to encourage curiosity, nature connection and learning through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
Permaculture is guided by three ethics. Tap each little card to see what they mean to the way Harmony approaches learning.
Looking after soil, plants, animals and the natural world. Learning to observe, understand and work with nature rather than against it.
Creating opportunities for people to feel safe, included, supported and heard. Recognising that different people learn in different ways.
Sharing resources, skills, experiences and opportunities. Understanding that working together helps communities and the natural world thrive.
I love coming here, you are really nice. I'm actually allowed to talk and you listen to my ideas.A little voice that says an awful lot. ♡
Whether you're curious about outdoor learning, interested in a programme or simply want to know more about Harmony, there's always a new adventure to discover.
